Leadership & Our People

The soul, the pumping heart, of any organization isn’t its ideas or its cash on hand; it’s not earnings growth or operating margins; and it’s not the technology or self-evolving algorithms powering automated decisions and processes — it’s the humans behind the company that power the culture, the vision and the execution of the ever-evolving mission. We are proud to say that we at Janover Ventures have a diverse group of incredibly smart, hard-working, ambitious, creative, innovate people engaged all over the globe for our cause and although it’s hard to mention everyone that has touched our organization in a meaningful way over the years and that continue to, below is a brief snapshot of the linear thinking analytical guys, the spacial thinking creators, and the hard-working, hyper-intelligent folks in-between that drive our real estate and capital markets advisory machine forward.

Blake Janover — Founder and CEO

As the CEO of Janover Ventures, Blake Janover is an innovator in the residential, commercial, and multifamily real estate finance sectors. He started his career nearly two decades ago as a mortgage broker and a commercial lender, before developing into his current role as a multifamily and commercial real estate loan broker and capital markets expert. Blake’s most popular platform, Multifamily.Loans, originated more than $100 million of loans in 2017 alone.

Throughout his career, Blake has overseen the underwriting of more than $1 billion in loans, including the underwriting of approximately $500 million in FHA loans, and millions more in Fannie Mae, Freddie Mac, CMBS loans. Additionally, Blake has advised borrowers on hundreds of multimillion-dollar real estate deals, including complex structured finance transactions, the creation of multi-layered capital stacks, and the re-positioning of large multifamily and assisted living property portfolios.

Perhaps most importantly, Blake isn’t afraid to make himself obsolete. In fact, Blake is in the process of developing a series of tools to create a self-service model for commercial and multifamily borrowers, ultimately eliminating the need for traditional real estate and mortgage brokers. By leveraging neutral networks and intelligent underwriting and pricing models, the service will bring costs down while providing services to a significantly wider swath of clients.

By staying innovative, transparent, and constantly hungry to learn more, Blake and his team are excited to continue to provide the tools and service to make real estate and business financing options available to everyone-- from first-time homeowners and small business owners to the largest corporations and investors in the market.
