The HUD Exchange Provides Important Information and Tools for Multifamily Borrowers

The HUD Exchange, launched in 2011, is a centralized platform providing a wealth of information for multifamily borrowers and HUD’s community partners. In-depth detail is available for virtually all of the department’s financing vehicles, from 221(d)(4) loans for multifamily developments to Section 232 debt for residential care facilities — and it doesn’t stop there. The full list of programs includes nearly 200 entries, each offering comprehensive details and requirements, and reports.

The platform also includes a broad range of comprehensive tools and resources for community partners of the Department of Housing and Urban Development. Partners are broadly defined as any recipient of HUD funding, from state and local governments to public housing authorities and their affiliates.

The HUD Exchange also includes an exhaustive list of resources for borrowers and lenders as well as critical housing assistance information and contact details to assist those who are homeless or at risk of becoming homeless.
